Would you like to cycle in Saimaa’s beautiful landscape (30 km) or maybe get to know the interesting history and landscape of Saimaa Canal (20 km)? Or is the Vuoksi river in Imatra close to your heart (12–20 km)? Choose a route that interests you most and spend a lovely day biking, enjoying the beautiful landscapes and the peace of nature.

Lake Saimaa's water network is renowned for its abundant catch. Vuoksi river's dredged shores and good berths offer excellent sites for fishing. In some places, the long, maintained shoreline enables spinning directly from the porch of a cottage. For example, at Vuoksi Fishing Park (Vuoksen Kalastuspuisto) you can fish with a traditional rod and worm, by trolling or using a spinning rod. If you wish, you can have your catch gutted, salted or smoked directly at the Park’s smokehouse in Imatra. Also the Kyykoski lure fishing area in Kannuskoski is a great place for fishing.

Golf goes together with summer – no question about it! There are four golf courses within a 40-kilometre radius in South Karelia, all offering golfers natural beauty, challenges and fun. You can also experience disc golf or minigolf.
