In Lappeenranta region you will find several different kinds of activity parks. Angry Birds Activity Park (indoor) opened it´s doors next to Holiday Club Saimaa spa resort in the Rauha area in Lappeenranta in July 2013. Flowpark (outdoor) offers great fun in Myllysaari island in Lappeenranta. Myllysaari is a recreational area for the whole family. Both outdoor parks have been designed and built in a forest, taking natural values into consideration. Flowpark offers adventurers four trails of varying difficulty levels. The equipment, such as harness and helmet, and the provision of instruction, are included in the ticket price.
Golf goes together with summer – no question about it! There are three golf courses within a 40-kilometre radius in Lappeenranta region, all offering golfers natural beauty, challenges and fun.

Discover the area by bike and try a quad bike safari
Bike, take a cruise or try out other activities?
Would you like to cycle in Saimaa’s beautiful landscape (30 km) or maybe get to know the interesting history and landscape of Saimaa Canal (20 km)? Or is the Vuoksi river in Imatra close to your heart (12-20 km)?
The 30 km-long biking trail starting from the Port of Lappeenranta will take you to see marvelous views of the Saimaa archipelago.. If you wish to do a tour of Saimaa’s island, it’s also possible by bike. The route round South Saimaa includes 1–2 boat rides. The West Saimaa tour is another route alternative that can be combined with an island excursion. Along the rails there are places for swimming so be sure to take your swimsuit along! Choose a route that interests you most and spend a lovely day biking, enjoying the beautiful landscapes and the peace of nature. If you don’ have your own bike with you, you can easily rent a bike in Lappeenranta. Many of the hotels in the area offer bikes to their customers.
The Lappeenranta region offers several canoeing routes, marked on maps. For beginners, sheltered shores are found for more relaxed progress, and there are more demanding routes for more experienced canoeists in the lake and strait sections. Canoes and SUP rafts are available for rent from, for example Saimaa Adventures. Kayaks and bicycles are offered for rent at Lappeenranta’s Sandcastle as well.
Experience the fascination of speed on an ATV safari! In motorized safaris you can enjoy the beautiful nature of South Karelia in the winter as well as in the summer time. Several companies organize all-year-round tailored adventures in different part of the Lake Saimaa. ATV safaris are part of the weekly programme in the summer season so you can easily try this activity in the surroundings of the new Holiday Club Saimaa spa resort in the Rauha area in Lappeenranta. You can also take part in an ATV safari that crosses the border to Russia, for this trip a visa is needed. Also other activities such as fishing, jet ski´s and floating in the Saimaa waters are included in the weekly programme.
If you are looking for a more relaxing activity there are numerous cruises available that take you around local routes or all the way to Vyborg. On the visa-free cruises to Vyborg, you can admire the city's sights in addition to the stunning views. The visa exemption applies to all nationalities, so combining a visit to this Russian city full of traditions to your visit to the Saimaa area is definitely a good idea.
